ECA
ADMINISTRATION
E.C.A. was founded in
1969 through the vision of Rev. John Bedzyk. While "Brother John" went
home to Jesus in 2004, the school continues under the oversight of
the board of Elmira Christian Center. These men have carried this responsibility for our
school since its founding. Because of their dedication and foresight we how have the
modern and spacious buildings which house our school.
FACULTY
Our teachers have completed degree
requirements that qualify them to be professionally equal or superior to the
standards of the State Board of Education. The teaching staff possesses
those attributes of Christian character and understanding that are so important in
the molding of young Christian lives.
E.C.A.s teachers come from a
variety of local evangelical churches. All teachers must know the Lord Jesus Christ
as their personal Savior and practice their convictions as a living example to their
students of what the Word of God can do in their lives.
FINANCE
The moral and spiritual responsibility for childrens education
implies CHRISTIAN STEWARDSHIP for parents. Over half of the budget is met by our very
reasonable tuition payments. The balance comes from the supporting Christian community
former students, parents, friends, grandparents and interested businesses and
organizations. The Corning Glass Works Foundation and Kennedy Valve are two examples of
local businesses supporting our school through their matching funds program.
All income received is used for salaries, educational expenses, and debt
retirement. Although it is necessary to operate on a budget of a per-child allocation, the
real question for a concerned Christian parent is not "What does it cost?," but
rather "What is the value of a Christian education to my child?"
TRANSPORTATION
Our students come from a wide area. Most school districts within a 25 mile
radius are represented in our student body. Transportation is available from most
school districts, and must be arranged by the parents through the local schools
bussing garage. Otherwise, transportation must be privately arranged by parents.
