ACL Welcomes Dutton’s Pledge to ‘Combat Radical Gender Theory’ | OUTInPerth

Australia’s Christian lobby has welcomed Liber leader Peter Dutton’s promise to reform Australia’s education system and remove ‘radical gender theory’ from schools.

The Leader of the Opposition made the comment during his budget response speech late last month. Speaking about Australia’s education system, the Leader of the Opposition said there was too much ideological content.

“In our school curriculum, it is important to include environmental studies and other social policies.

“But the system has allowed ideological advocates to have too much influence over what is taught to our children.

“Teaching a sanitized, selective version of history and the arts – and radical gender theory – is not in the best interests of our children.” said Duton.

The Liberal leader said schools needed to put more emphasis on basic skills such as reading, writing and math. Dutton said schools should be places where students learn “respect, discipline and ‘how to think’ not ‘what to think'”.

The reference to ‘radical gender theory’ has excited the Australian Christian Lobby which has emailed its subscribers asking them to contact the Leader of the Opposition and thank him for embarking on his new quest.

Anti-transgender organization Binary also welcomed the comment, saying it is proof their message is being heard.

“It’s only one line, but it shows that we are heard. And putting it in such an important speech – the budget in response – shows that protecting children from this gender madness must be at the heart of the education debate. the group said on its website.
