As founder, Dag Heward-MillsThe vision for the training center was that it would always remain a pastoral training school, without the center ever turning into a partially or fully secular institution. Under the direction of Dag Heward-Mills, Anagkazo transitioned from a one-year part-time Bible school to a two-year full-time program. Subsequently, in 2006, the training period was extended to four years to improve the tools and knowledge base that students receive.
In 1997, the school graduated 12 students. Since that time, the student roster has grown to approximately 800 full-time residents. The training center continues to have a positive impact on the community and the lives of students and pastors.
The training center uses camp meetings, cell groups, crusades, and ministries as mechanisms to familiarize students with the teaching of the gospels. It also helps acclimatize future pastors and church leaders to preaching and the practice of teaching others. One of the skills students develop is to be able to understand the Bible and to teach its lessons consistently. Dag Heward-Mills continues develop and enrich teaching methods for the benefit of all stakeholders in the establishment.
Well known in the evangelical community, Dag Heward-Mills’ accolades are numerous. He made the Anagkazo Bible and Ministerial Training Center one of the largest Bible schools in Africa and the world.
