Made in Robeson returns to RCC on October 15


LUMBERTON – A 24-year-old man and a 15-year-old man were arrested on Friday in connection with a recent shooting that sent a 9-year-old girl to hospital.

Joshua A. Locklear and the miner were arrested by sheriff investigators, members of the US Marshals Service Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force and Lumberton Police at the Lumberton Budget Inn Motel, according to the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office.

Locklear is charged with aiding and abetting after the fact, possession of a stolen firearm and contributing to juvenile delinquency, according to the sheriff’s office. Locklear was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center on guaranteed bond of $ 100,000.

The juvenile is charged with Assault with a Lethal Weapon with Intent to Kill Causing Serious Injury, Assault with a Lethal Weapon Causing Serious Injury, Conspiracy to Crime and Unloading a Weapon in an Occupied Vehicle.

“A search of the room at the Budget Inn Motel and of a vehicle led to the seizure of two firearms and ammunition,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Three other people were charged this week in connection with the September 11 vehicle shooting on Moss Neck Road in Pembroke that injured a woman and sent her daughter to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A 14-year-old surrendered to sheriff’s investigators on Thursday and was charged with assault with a lethal weapon with intent to kill by inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault with a lethal weapon inflicting grievous bodily harm, conspiracy crime and unloading a gun in an occupied vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

Christian K. Locklear, 21, of Pembroke and a 16-year-old Lumberton resident were charged Monday by investigators at the Sheriff’s Office.

Locklear was charged with assault with a lethal weapon with intent to kill by inflicting grievous bodily harm, assault with a lethal weapon inflicting grievous bodily harm, conspiracy to felony and unloading a weapon in an occupied vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. He was placed in the Robeson County Detention Center on secured $ 1.5 million bail.

The juvenile was charged with assault with a lethal weapon with intent to kill by inflicting serious bodily harm, assault with a lethal weapon causing serious bodily harm, conspiracy to felony and unloading a weapon in an occupied vehicle. , according to the sheriff’s office.

The three minors are being held at the Cumberland Regional Juvenile Detention Center.

On September 11, MPs responded at around 10:14 p.m. at block 80 of Darrell Drive in Pembroke after receiving a report that two people had been shot, according to the sheriff’s office.

Retona Sosa, 41, and her daughter were found suffering from gunshot wounds. Sosa was treated for injuries that were not believed to be fatal. The girl was taken to an undisclosed hospital and classified in critical condition. Two other family members were in the vehicle at the time of the shooting. No other injuries were reported.

The girl’s health has since improved, according to the sheriff’s office. She was removed from the ventilator on Sunday and listed in stable condition on Monday.

Sosa posted a statement on Facebook on Thursday saying her daughter was returning from hospital.
